Happy New Year~!

Working on a cold New Year Eve is not something anyone looks forward to..
There's pro and cons for working this year. Pros is, it's raining this evening and it'll kinda spoil my mood if I were to be standing in a poodle of mud watching Bosco Wong near Queensbay Mall. Yes, Bosco is in Malaysia for NY countdown. Cons is that I can't be watching tv at home with my loved ones. But so lonely working till 11pm.

Due to raining earlier, the office has been extremely cold. Hoping that a hot chocolate caramel from starbuck is in my hand now. Anyway, I think I'll seriously go get one after work on my way back at e-gate. This few days has been busy planning on recipes and dishes to prepare for NY cum mom's birthday dinner tomorrow. I have come out with some dishes, some I haven't try my hands on. Hoping it'll turn out good.. lolxx..
We plan to have dinner at home. Just the 5 of us, without jackie as she couldn't make it back this year due to her final exam coming. As long as Mom is ok, we're also ok. Although kinda hoping she'll be giving us another surprise like my house warming dinner.

Went to order cake from Jenni on Monday. Its a lychee and logan cake. Design is nothing special as we just choose from the standard design.

Let's talk about the dishes that I have come up with.
We're gonna have the choo char type. Plan to have 4 dishes and 1 soup..
Mommy will prepare the soup, while the rest of the dishes will be prepare by the chef@me.. hahha...

I have come out with below dishes, looks simple but ain't sure if really simple to prepare yet: rofl..

1) Butter cereal prawn
2)Stir Fry pork with jack fruit
3)Soy sauce & mushroom/Teo Chew steam fish - haven't decide on this yet.
4)Stir Fry Chai ta - don't know what you call that in english..

Dish no 1 and 2 is going to be my first time. I'll snap the photos on how it turn out.. *finger cross* I just saw the recipe from Crizfood's blog today. Though I have wanted to make another pork ishes, but this one looks exciting to prepare. Something new to play around with fruits.

Have been going around every morning this week to get all the ingredients, except for the fish, as it' undecided on which style to prepare yet. This morning, went to chrowrasta market again for the prawns. Tomorrow will be going to Sunshine market to get the vege and also mom has to go to sunshine sq to redeem her birthday points.

Another hour for me to stay in office. Ya lar, I'm blogging in office again. It's been so long I did this ok... hehehe.. Anyway time for NY wishes..

Happy New Year!!!

It may be a tough year ahead, but have faith and may all of us have a blessing and fruitful 2009.

Looking forward to more surprises and miracles for the many years to come.. hehehhe... Bye Bye 2008.

Winter Solstice and now Merry Christmas~!

Last Sunday chinese celebrated the winter solstice day which is also known as Dong Zhi. Apart from making the tong yuen, we also have to give prayers to the gods that you have at home and also for the deceased. I'm not sure how many people actually do that. But this year it's my first year to follow my aunty to give offering to my grandpa.

Dong Zhi is very important. My mom told me that it's even greater than Chinese New Year. My grandma once told me, you grow one year when you eat tong yuen. So every year my sisters, mom and I will sit together to make the glutinous ball. My mom bought extra ingredients to make tong yuen this year. We had 2 different type; one is the tradisional clear soup and another we had black sesame soup. I love the black sesame one... I insist of making the black sesame one because I had that in Hong Kong awhile back. I fell in love with it and I can't seems to forget the taste... hehehe.. Although this home-made is nothing compare to ones I had in hong kong. My mom choose to let my wish fulfilled by helping to make this one..

Forget to wish everyone a Merry, merry Christmas this year... Don't let the global recession to hinder you from celebrating this festive season with your love ones...
May God bless ya all~!

Team X'mas party... 18th December 2008

We had our regional christmas party on 18th of December, last thursday. It was a fun-filled 3 hours session. We had alot of things to makan coz it's a potluck thingy. Each of us forge out RM 10 for the food and seriously, I didn't know what my team ordered for that party. Our organizer was Bee Lean, I just passed her RM 10 and didn't ask more. lolxx.. On top of that, we have to get a present for gift exchange. That is between RM 5-10. I forget to snap the present, but I do like it personally. It's a christmas bear in a cup.

I saw a lady picked my gift, I hope she likes it too.. As for me, I got a table lamp from IKEA. I believe it worth more than the budget that was alocated. I'm a lucky girl that day... :)
But a few of my colleagues are luckier. Our management sponsors a few hampers for the lucky draw. It's RM 50 each hamper and there's about 16-18 of them.

Please find our group photo with our pressent. This is not a complete team photo as some of the afternoon shift members are not in yet.. :(

Penang Butterfly Farm

Sorry guys haven't been updated my blog for some time.

I went to shoot butterfly last weekend. It was their last weekend for shooting.. yea last min.. that's me le.. ekekekkeke... anyway it's a interesting event..

The school holidays just started last weekend, so there was a batch of school children. Though the farm is not very big, but they do have a lot of interesting location that attracts the crowd so that we can shoot at our leisure time. We spent about 3 hours there, shooting and shooting nothing but butterfly. The overall results wasn't very nice, alot of shaky and blur image. Thanks to my unsteady pair of hand. :p

Anyway I hope you guys will enjoy the pictures....

Tired

This few days has been training most of the time.. Finally get to some on hands training.. looking forward to next week as my trainer will be working morning shift, hopefully can learn more from him.... Went to sakae with Wayne after work today.. It was last minute because we have to meet up and discuss about our new house. Met Mindy in front of sakae sushi.. She invited to join, but because Wayne and I have lots to talk about, I rejected. But we're sitting behind them.

I wasn't really stress or pressure from work.. but don't know why, I can't really sleep at night.
Then usually don't feel like waking up for work.. sigh.. not enough sleep causes can't concentrate during work.. I can't wait to fully understand the whole structure and start to work smoothly..
Praying hard everyday that I'll learn more so that I can get familiar faster... desparate already..lolxx(for the first few days i joined Gams, pck walked passed my cube most of the time and most of the time, he's looking.but this few days i didn't see him walk pass anymore)
One bad news... my temporary position in my ex department was frozen.. meaning no back fill for them. Poor colleagues... they mz be struggling hard to cope up with the backlog. I went to visit them yesterday, Khee Seong was saying it was so hard to support India.. now only you guys know how I feel. when I was supporting them.. ngek, ngek, ngek... unnfortunately, I doesn't want Khee Seong to go through this.. But too bad.. He'll feel the heat as he's the main contact at the moment. :(

7 business days~! My first TT (T_t)

It has been 7 business days working in the new team. It's my first week aniversary - in terms of 7 days/week... lolxx..

Working has been so much fun, as I'm still very free without having to work on anything but training, training and trainings~! oh yea.. assesment too.. :(

It's kinda funny.. At the moment, I can still enjoy 8-5 working hour. Having being so free most of the time, I felt uneasy. Never had I enjoy such easy life. Yea, I know this is only going to be temporary, but its just not like working in H.E.L.L. I told my peers as no assignment of job to me, I go nothing to do and I don't feel good. They were saying that I was infected with workaholic virus.. Lolxx..

Got my first assignment today, so so damn happy.. I went to understand the issue that was assigned to me.. The subject of the ticket was "New hire, need access to xxx". Nearly pengsan when I saw that. That is not suppose to route to me... We dont grant access to new hire... aikksss... finally confirm with my trainer cum buddy on that and *potong stim*.. have to re-assign ticket to the correct support group.. *sigh* My first ticket.. is to re-assign the ticket.... major depression..

Infact, Louis Im-ed me saying he got a new TT this morning. He was asking if I'm interested to check on that with him. I was quite happy la, coz he thinks of me as I was pestering him since last week to share TT. After looking at the ticket, and checking in sfdc, I found the problem doesn't seems to be a problem. Due to lack of confidence, I went to check in other database and everything seems ok. Louis asked if I have found out the problem, I told him my findings, but am not sure what's the root cause. Then he sent out the email to the user and inform him that issue resolve.. then only he told me, I alr found out the solution.. It's due to server lagging. The job wasn't done when the user check in the application. But when the ticket was passed to us, the job has been completed. Hence issue resolved! So easy job, but I was taking the whole thing too seriously that I checked on so many things that doesn't actually help in solving. Thanks to Louis, he has actually help me alot...

On leave - Official last day from SDC

Today is my official last day from SDC. I was on leave though. The life in SDC is really very hectic. Even on my last day, I have to work till 8pm... *sigh*
No doubt I can leave earlier, but I don't have the heart to leave it all for Khee Seong and Leslie. So i manage to clear quite a lot.

When I sent out my notification email on wednesday at 4:30 pm, I received alot of good luck emails and majority of them was asking if I'm still with Dell. They were very happy, when I told them yes. One of my requestor, Kate, she replied NO WAY! I won't let you go... I'm indeed touched, knowing that there's still people that really appreciate what I did for them. A few of the Indian requestor also called to congratz and wish me good luck. It was really touching. Thanks to Pooi Yan, she's abit emotional when she called and ask why I'm leaving?- makes me wanna cry also... sob... Samantha Soong also called and asked me if I wasn't happy working in SDC. I told her if it's due to that reason I wouldn't have stayed for more than 1 yr. I'm really happy and thankful for all the best wishes...
A very nasty requestor also called and told me to call him to say hi when I've got time. I was like... "h*ll ya.. why do I have to call?" - thanks to the email that he sent with cap locks and bolded with red. But no matter how nasty he is when supporting him, at least he still call, rather than his other colleague - Deepa... One funny conversation that I had with the requestor on my last day:
Requestor: Lynda, please help on this super urgent request.
Me: I'm sorry I'm imune to the word "urgent"
Requestor: Alrite, wait let me find in the dictionary for other word that replace urgent
Me: :)
Requestor: Pls... this very CRITICAL.... VITAL...
Actually, even my boss also said that letting me go is like slashing his own flesh. I don't know how true that phrase mean to him. At times, I just couldn't trust what he says 100% anymore. But it's too late now, though I really appreciate that he mentioned this. Even during my farewell lunch, when Andrew called me traitor - for leaving SDC, Loh soon explained that it's also his fault that he wasn't able to do something that he has to do which he didn't promise, but he feels he should do, which is converting me to perm.

Here's a picture of my farewell lunch - thanks for the lunch..

13 months there, our friendship deepens. On my last week there, I really have mixed feelings... Yes, I feel abit sad to leave. Even when doing my last request, I was like "haizz.. this is the last time I'm working on this template." Without denying, there's indeed alot of bad memories of this position, but the relationship with Khee Seong, Leslie, Aun Nee, Rachel and Andrew is getting closer. I hope this friendship will last and I know I'll miss working with them, although I'm only going to be a few cube away..

All the best to you guys too..

A proud owner of Nikon D60..

Went to the photo shop yesterday... actually I was supposed to go shopping with my sister for her birthday... End up, we went shopping for my gear.. lolxx.. Didn't have much budget allocated, so I only get the baby with standard kit lens.. having to spent so much on renovation and new furniture.
The uncle that serves us, was so friendly. He teach me how to handle the baby and also some technique to take great photo. I got it at a quite reasonable price without tripod. He gave me the bag of D40 - much nicer than the slr bag that comes with D60. In the end, I'm a happy owner.. lolxxx...

Good night!

Interview

I have always been thinking, how is it to be in the position to interview people. I was given the chance today. Khee Seong asked me to accompany him to interview the new candidate that I recommended. She's a friend of Audrey. I was very happy to be able to participate in the interview. Surprisingly, I had butterfly in my stomach before the interview. Hehehe... too nervous to be a first time interviewer. The whole interview went on very smoothly. I enjoy asking questions.. Hehehe.. when you interview people, you don't feel nervous but enjoying and will be very happy if your candidate can answer what you want to hear. I finally understand how uncomfortable it is for the interviewer to understand you if you are very nervous during the interview. She was really nervous and causes her to missed out some important information that might be able to sell herself. I was wishing I can help her to calm down, like how raymond did to me during my interview. All in all, my senior like her and can say her chances of getting the job is quite high. Currently waiting for my boss's nod.I guess that will not take a long time. Hopefully she'll be able to on board earlier and I can finish my job.

Today I had training with my new team on sales force. Finally get to meet the whole team unofficially. The training will go on until this friday. Luckily I didn't get to take leave. It's a bit weird to join them and I feel so hopeless that I can't bring myself to ask them more questions. I can understand the new application, but I still have no idea what my job scope is. Hopefully coming training will paint better picture.

Interesting find outs... start training tomorrow

It's quite an interesting information that I found out today. As posted on my blog, I'm changing to a new role in the same company this month. My current team needs to look for my backfill urgently. Not many people know, I'm just a contract employee and it's so hard to look for some one to replace me. I'll be leaving in 2 weeks. According to my senior, my recruiter is not able to source a decent candidate for interview. I'm quite surprise, as I thought a lot of people are looking for job. How come we're facing such situation even at this time where alot are looking for job. Is it because it's a temporary position, but the condition is the contract will be renew. I have been here for 1 yr. Although I have been promised to be converted but it just never happen during this crisis that is happening everywhere. I'll be training in my new department starting tomorrow, 1 hr every day till friday. I really hope I have enough time to transition my task properly so that that person will not be over burden.
Actually I feel pity for the person coming on board. I have no choice, life still needs to go on, so is business...

Second day of Raya... Dragon-y & Sakae Sushi

-1st Oct 2008-

Came to work today with a very blur look. Only slept for 4 hours the night before, resulting in a walking zombie in dell for both days. Wasn't in a very high mood to work due to public holidays but insufficient sleep also contributes to this. lolxx.. I had lunch at Dragon - y in suntech cybercity. Prices is not very expensive but the enviroment is quite fascinating. More like the coffee shop in hong kong - very small area. They serve chinese food, mainly like those you can find in Mong Kok. We did enjoy the lunch. Rachel and I had the herbal pork noodle and mango sago snow.. yummyy.. I had the thing for sago and snow dessert especially mango and honey dew. My noodle is something like a "high class" bak kut teh noodle. Leslie, Aun Nee and Khee Seong had spicy abalone noodles. It's like a mixture of assam laksa and tom yam. Khee Seong said it's too spicy for him and he wasn't feeling very well after the meal. After work I head back to get ready to go over to Elsie's open house. Billie sent an sms saying she has reached her house and signal me to go over. On my way there, she called and told me that Elsie has went out because she thought we won't be going over. So Raya open house was cancelled, both of us head to New World Park instead for Passion to Keralala for banana leaf rice.

-2nd Oct 2008-

Came in 1 hr late as it's PH, you only claim how many hours you have worked. First time in history, no parking area in dell during PH.. Looks like economic crisis has turn every one into workaholics. The facilities people usually don't open the new car park, so I have to make so many rounds just to get a place to park my car.. *sigh*. Leslie bought us fried bee hoon for breakfast, not long later, ying li asked if I wanted to have lunch with her. I agreed, and we headed to queensbay mall for sakae sushi. Didn't eat much as we were still full with our breakfast. We intended to get some snack from Jusco but it wasn't open until 1pm.. I was already hungry by 4pm.. :( Luckily Dell is a good place to work, there's snack vending machine, so I bought Chickadees... something I wouldn't consider...

-3rd Oct 2008-
Office is back to normal where people come back to work, but it's still a bit hollow as many are still enjoying their leave for a long weekend. Nothing much to update for today though. I had lunch with Bivi, seems like didn't eat with her the whole week except today.. We had lunch in sunway tunas - forget the name of the shop. The food is nice and affordable. I had white coffee and fried salty fish with long beans. I would like to stress more on the white coffee, it's "gau" enough and you can have it at RM 2.50 for the cold ones.. :)

Raining so heavy

Yesterday was raining very heavy in the morning. I woke up at 3 something AM, thinking that i was late for work. I rushed out and only to realize it's still midnight. I went back to sleep, so tired and at such nice weather, I slept till 8 am. Obviously I was late for work. Some more have to brace through the heavy rain with umbrella and folded jeans up to my knees. Worst still, he drove passed and saw me with such look... *omg* - "pengsanz"

I received a sms from an unknown number, asking how am i and how's the flood in penang. As the number was not registered in my phone i totally have no idea who this person is but I replied to the message anyway... Looks like that person is not from penang, coz he/she mentioned that he/she saw the news on tv that penang was flooded.

One of my very best fren scolded me for not updating my blog. It's already 1 something AM now. I'm waiting for iTunes to be loaded to my desktop so that I can put in new songs into my ipod. Computer just reformat la and the stupiak ipod, can only play songs that load through iTunes. -geramzz-. Although it's Hari Raya public holiday but the poor girl here have to work.. Aikkss...
I received a call from Elsie too, inviting me to her place for raya. So happy to hear from her. It's been 1 yr since i last saw her.. Hoping for a good raya cum spare parts reunited later tonight~!

Before I sign off, Selamat Hari Raya Adilfitri, Maaf zahir & batin.. or is it the other way round?? lolxx...

Finally... Offer letter signed

I'm finally free from SDC in 1 month's time. I signed the offer letter today, HR not very friendly. My new boss went to escalate and they did it for me. He said I have to pick up on express because I don't have direct IT experience. My future director has a very high expectation of me. I know, it would be the same everywhere. It's the matter on the environment and the people around you. I hope it's going to be a smooth journey for me. Patience and Perseverance is what I need. My official starting date in my new department would be 24 Oct 2008. Yoohoo...
My new boss actually asked me how I feel earlier, I told him I can't wait to be on board. I doesn't know how he would interpret my statement. Please don't get me wrong, it's not like I hate this department so much. I'm just hoping I can get out of India's coverage.. that's all. :p

I had my medical check up on monday, they nurse made me took the x-ray twice within 1 and 1/2 hours. The film was jammed and they couldn't get the results from the first x-ray. I don't know how many cells were killed that day. I was also jokingly asking the nurse, but she assured me that the radiation is not high. She could just murmured this as to give me assurance that it's alright. The event even required the doctor to repair the filming machine. The doctor is quite yeng - not very handsome la but he'll definately capture your attention when he's around.

Boring weekend...

-Friday-
Wayne came back from Belgium. I went to fetch from the airport. He bought belgium chocolate back. Milk choco with hazelnut - My all time fav.
We headed to "Kuantan hor" for curry fish head as he was craving for it. After dinner we head straight to BM, drop by our new house, didn't go in though..

-Saturday-
Saturday morning, we had Hokkien mee at kampung baru and went to our new house after breakfast. Renovation ended already. Now waiting for for the wiring, new windows and grills installing to happen. I forget to bring my camera for pictures..
I feel satisfy on the overall renovation, except for kitchen top. I like the tiles, but it does look a bit small. Anyway, whatever is done is done, no turning back.
Wayne has to go BJ to get the unlock sim phone for his friend. We ended up buying a dvd - Money no enough II and 2 photography magazines. :p

My youngest sister came back yesterday for her semester break. Went to fetch her from the bus terminal and had our dinner in sakae sushi.
After dinner, we watch "Money no enough II". We cried and laugh at the same time. This really reflects our daily life and it's so true about the get rich scheme. It was so heart breaking in the end where the grandma gave up live for her precious grand daughter.
-Sunday-
cloudy, very nice time to sleep and wake up late. I haven't had enough sleep the whole week. Woke up at 11 am this morning. Refresh, played with mika. Had "sau pau" from hong kong for me breakfast. Dad has went out with See tho uncle and mom also have her own plans with Sally aunty. Leaving the me and my sisters, dunno what to do.

Listen to 988 for the Japan and korea music chart and read my photography mags.
What a boring weekend...

Sinful >_<

Have been thinking alot about my life these few days. Alot of flash back from young till today. It's so unbearable and pressure, I don't know why. At some times, I really wish I can just vanish from this world. Knowing that I have my commitments and responsibility to fulfill, this is something what we call "pat how" if we just vanish into thin air. A few days earlier, read a blog of my very best friend. She mentioned about blood slowly flowing out of her body. I can feel it today... It's like got bitten by a vampire, but my blood is not suck out, instead it's flowing out slowly. I also feel that there's a sharp knife stab into my heart.. the pain so unbearable. Does good things only happen to good people? what if you had commited a sin, a lie that you have told to get you out of problem. So you are a bad person?
Turns out like I have to pay my future for that "lie" I had said. I never thought that this would ever happened. I should be alert enough to becareful with what I said. It's no big deal, but it's haunting me this few days. Each and every second reminds me of the little white lie. Can I turn back time and erase the "lie" from my life? It's really painful to wait for death.
I have always been dreaming of having my own family and children. But will I stay long enough for this day to come?

Confirm

HR called yesterday to get my certificates and other documents. The job is confirmed. At least this is happening. You never know what will happen in dell, but I'm glad this is happening.

Thank God!

Blessed~!

Following from the last post... I have a good news. I'm finally moving out of SDC. Found myself a new job. It's an IT position. I had the 3rd interview with GSC director and future manager this week. I was hired. I really hope this time, it's for real. I doesn't want history to repeat itself, the PMO position. If you had been reading my blog you'll know.
Leslie was on medical leave on thurday. As usual I have to support her level one request. I didn't really help her much on her request as I was also busy with my own requests. Poor leslie came down with gastric. She has been working very hard. Recently found out that a few of them doesn't really like my boss either. He's too chinaman in terms of running the department. Egoistic I'll say. Anyway, I doesn't want to comment much as I believe this is not the right place to talk about this.
I had lunch with Aun nee, rachel and bivi on thursday. We had discussed on a very interesting topic. The topic was on team buiding. It's been 1 yr I'm with SDC. Guess what, I haven't attended any team building. Reason being, my dear boss wants to help save cost and doesn't want to use the budget allocated for this. Anyone in Dell will say "stupid" for this. Due to the pressure that one have to go through in Dell, I would say team bulding is essential. This is to show appreciation to your subordinate on the work they had done. As curious as a cat, I did asked them if they have team building with the previous boss. I was really surprise to hear that they had a lot of plans to fully utilize the budget. I would say, he's as stupid as a donkey for not even know how to appreciate his staff.

Replacement holiday - 1 Sept 2008

Have to work today although it's replacement holiday for Independence day. Reason being I have to support India and the rest of the country that is not observing public holiday. Today had lunch with the whole team except Khee Seong. Khee Seong went back to his mother's place for koay teow th'ng in jelutong. I drove them out for lunch. Andrew suggested e-gate, no one oblige so we head there. When we reached, we're still undecide of where to eat. Leslie suggested hongkie, rachel suggested oldtown. Aun nee, andrew and me no comment. In the end we headed to oldtown. We passed Miss Saigon as we walked to oldtown. I personally haven't tried vietnam food. So I asked them if they are ok. They do offer set lunch, so we settle down for Miss Saigon. I ordered the Shredded chicken in basil sauce. Waiting eagerly, I was so excited when my food finally come. The first scoup, I tried the fried rice and I was really disappointed. The fried rice has very rich garlic smells that really puts me off. I do take garlic but it's too strong. It also come with a lot of vege - something like kerabu. So I decided to mix everything like eating rojak. The garlic smell is still very strong, so aun nee suggested to get chilli paste from the waitress and mix with the rice. It indeed helps and the garlic is not so strong after mixing. The set lunch came with a drink, your choice of vietnamese coffee or lemongrass tea. I was a little skeptical when the rest suggested to try the lemongrass tea. I don't think I'll be able to accept drinking lemongrass. Hence I ordered the coffee instead. Andrew had the beef noodle while aun nee had the chicken one. Rachel tried the bamboo beef rice and leslie had la lot - chicken skewer wrapped with some vietnamese herbs. I don't think everyone is satisfied with their choice. They felt that the meal is not worth the price they are paying. I personally feels that way too. So it's going to be the first and the last time there. he was there with his gf and family, not sure who's family but looks like it's the girl's. Fate really brings people together. I choosed to go ms saigon and it's fated to meet him there. am not sure wat's the reason behind this arrangement by the man up there, but it's kinda funny as it's feelingless.. lolxx...
Oh yea, yesterday went to gurney and scout around the camera fair. They were doing some promotion on D60 - RM2000 with 2gb, tripod and slr bag. I wasn't very happy about the price as I believe I can get cheaper. After talking to the sales person, of course he uses many strategic way to lure me to buying but i'm not giving in. I decided to go down to photo president and asked my god-uncle's friend. He can give a better price at RM 2080 with 4gb, 1 extra orginal battery and slr bag. The deal looks good, but the condition is to pay by cash. This kinda turn me off. I'm not sure why but I guess I'm not willing to pay so much for this baby. lolxx.. Anyway I'm not in a hurry to get one yet... so scout around lo.. Am sure I'll be able to find one at a better price.. :)

House Renovation

My new house has started renovation since last week. I didn't have time to drop by last week as I'm working in penang. Since 3 weeks ago, it has been hectic weekends for me and Wayne as we have to rush here and there to look for tiles, electric goods and some furniture for our house. 2 weeks ago we had spend the half of saturday afternoon to look for the tiles as well as floor mosaics that we wants. It wasn't easy choosing the correct tiles as there are many variety and the colour combination that we have to consider. Lucky me, it was over. We had missed out the kitchen wall tiles the other day, so we have to go back to choose them. We had a black plus some glitter kitchen top with mocha colour kitchen cabinet. Hence we had chosen a lighter colour tiles so that it'll not look so complex. We also got some liners to go with it. Living hall has a 2 inches tiles and it's some kind of light brown. So my new house has alot of brown colours.

They have also worked on the car porch. It looks really nice now. We have bigger gate and bigger space as we patch up the garden to make way for parking 2 cars inside. Right now they are working on the wet area kitchen and also the small little space of my room's balcony. Will post pictures once everything is complete. The most satisfying space is renovating the small little balcony of my room. It's so small that it can only accommodate 1 person. That is why we decide to knock it down so that it'll give some space to our room. Today we had gone to choose the grills for the whole house as well as for our main gate. The grills that we choose are neither those flowery nor square type. It has only horizontal lines and it's white in colour. I guess we are almost done with the renovation part. Just waiting for them to complete the job, estimated it'll take another 2 and 1/2 weeks and we can start with replacing the windows and putting up the grills. After that is shopping for more furnitures... lolxx.. Can't wait lo...

Camera Fair - 29-31 Aug 2008

Was told by my god-uncle that there's camera fair in gurney plaza and also a camera shop in rangoon road. Gurney plaza is from President photo. Kinda curious how low they can go on some going to be obsolete models. After talking to him yesterday during daddy's birthday dinner, i'm abit shaky on whether to get canon or nikon. Having been believe that nikon will always be value for money I had been aiming to get D60. Not too long ago, a colleague did mentioned that canon lens has also gone down. How low i'm not very sure. Now i'm stuck in a delimma between canon or nikon. Can anyone give some good advice?

Makan Makan the whole of Saturday~!

Yesterday was a very busy day for makan... First we had curry mee for breakfast. The one near Jln Tan Sri Teh Ewe Lim. Haven't been there since 10yrs ago... got so long bo? I think more than that. I remember I went there with Cynthia before our ranger meeting. Thinking back, I left school eight yrs ago. We park at one of the streets behind mewah court wanting to walk there and only to find out they have move further down. The noodles turned out to be very spicy and I can hardly take it.. After that we went to Lorong Kulit, bought some fruits from the regular aunty. The aunty was asking why I didn't go there for so long... Haha.. become regular pulak. So busy, with work during weekdays and busy for the new house, mana ada time to go. Bought some pears, oranges and dragon fruit. I want to stress the dragon fruit is so sweet. 6 for only RM 10.. cheap right? I trully feel it's worth it. Actually we were there because wayne's aunt just had an operation. So we went there to buy some fruits to visit her. Looks like she has fuly recover as she can joke like usual. She's really an optimistic person and loves to travelling. She also invited me to join them on the hadyai trip this november. We have not made up our mind yet. It's RM 160 for 2 days 2 night. 1 night on the bus the other in hadyai.

After finish shopping for fruits, wayne scout for some cheap battery for the remote control. After that we headed home. Had an appointment with mom for lunch. She took us to some kopitiam at "5 tieu lor" for oyster noodles, oyster pancake - malaysia style. Had lotsa oyster.. lolxx
After lunch went to QBM, mom wants to go goldsmith. I also met ONU in sakae sushi sitting at a very strategic place - right infront of the entrance. She invited me to have a plate of salmon sashimi, i rejected. Kinda regret now. Didn't spend much time in QBM as we have to meet yong kang and also fetch ean ling and kenny back to bm. On our way back we drop by at wayne's aunt place; to visit her and also to fetch wayne's mom for dinner. We're meeting Ah boy (wayne's childhood friend) for dinner. He's in penang for business trip at western D. So the old buddies decided to meet up and we brought him to Ah Ean seafood in Batu Kawan. When we reached, there were already so many people. I was sitting near the outdoor entrance. Out of a sudden, I think I saw Khee Seong walking in to the air-con room. Happened very fast and I couldn't confirm if it was him. Then I also met Huey Sze with her team there. Lolxx.. It was indeed a famous place for penangites. We had sweet and sour crabs, deep fried squids, deep fried signature to fu, steam teochew fish, fried cabbage and also dried chilli fried cray fish (hae khor bak). I didn't see Khee Seong after that, so I thought I got the wrong person, but on our way out, I saw his car. So confirm I got the right person. i happen to stumble upon his blog today. it was very new and not much post. the last post, he wrote about escalation frm work.. poor fella. I also accidentally stumble on some personal info, i believe he's attached. but he might be hiding frm something.

16th Aug - 17thAug 2008, 18th Aug 2008 - Sad day

It was a last minute decision to go down KL last weekend. It was the last weekend of IKEA sales and wayne's family decided to make a trip down to scout for stuff for our new house. I wasn't really keen on the trip but wayne's mum was very excited and if I didn't agree to go, they'll cancel the trip. Seeing his mum so excited, i decided to give in and follow. Wayne was asking me to book the hotel and we went through numerous hotels but most of them are fully book. Finally we manage to get one of the inn near sunway pyramid. I was told that's the red district for the China business.. I was also warned not to open door at night as those people will knock on your door asking for business. Having called so many hotels and only to find out all has been full, we doesn't have any choice but to book the sun-inn lagoon. It's quite cheap, only RM 85 per room and we got 2 rooms. It was also the last 2 rooms available. Phew~~ finally manage to get a place to sleep for sat night.
We started our journey at 5:30am on saturday morning, stop by at ipoh for dim sum. Dim sum there is nothing special. Dunno why I still prefer the dim sum in penang. After dim sum, we head to KL and reached about 10 something. The first place we stop by was IKEA. We reached there about 11 something. We were there for almost 5 hours. Had our lunch there. The food was superb... Because it's a sweden company so the food served are western, hence it's creamy and full of herbs. The deserts was also very nice especially the almond choco tart... yummy.
We spent about RM 900++ in IKEA. We bought mainly lighting, foldable table, some kitchen utensil and 2 pieces of board. It was really awesome as we were shopping for our new house that mostly I was the one taking charge. We left at 4 something as we have to rush to check-in before 6pm. When we reached the inn, we checked in and refresh. After that we move on to go shopping in sunway pyramid as it's just right beside our hotel. Jackie came to meet us and we had dinner together. After that Jackie followed us to our hotel and waited for ah loon to fetch her back to wangsa maju. The busy day took a toll on our energy. Less than 5 mins, we were all like dead people. The next morning, we had our breakfast at the coffee shop on the other side of sunway pyramid. Most of us have noodle. After our breakfast, we head back to hotel and check out. Since we still have time, we drop by 1-U and shop again. I didn't get anything from shopping for this trip. Maybe I was too tired and didn't have any mood to grab. At 1-U I bought 2 photograhy magazine from MPH and was actually reading in MPH while waiting for wayne's sister do her shopping. After shopping we had burger king for lunch, then proceed our journey back to pg. On the way, we stop by ipoh again. This time for the bean sprout chicken. Yummy yummy but it started to rain very heavy and wayne had to borrow umbrella to drive the car to the shop to fetch us. I reached penang around 7 something. Took my bath and get in time for the badmintion match between Lee Chong wei and Lin Da.. although a bit disappointed but we all know he already did his best...

18th August 2008
It was a hell day in dell. I was extremely sad today. My boss made me a scapegoat and asked me to appologize for mistake that I didn't make. A request was sent to me on 4/8/2008. Insufficient information request was sent to me. I revert back to requestor on the same day asking for more information. She didn't reply but instead she calls on the 13/8/2008 asking why I had not reply on her request. I questioned her back asking why she had not reply my email. She gave me the confirmation through phone of what I have asked her in the email. Although verbal confirmation was provided, I have also request her to send me email on the same and she begs me to action on it asap. This is clearly her mistake but today she asked her boss to escalate and provided proves in fwd email and also word format rtf that can be amended. She insists she sent me email on 4/8/2008 itself and has also pointed that I sit on her request for 14 days. When all her proves are amendable, I have asked for original copy of the email that she mentioned she sent out on the 4th. She couldn't fork out any prove and my boss asked me admit my mistake. I was so so damn angry and went back straight to my seat. I checked with FSP to expedite on the request and also told her my boss made me a scapegoat. She pity me and helped me with the request. Finally I told my boss i was very disappointed. He said he's sorry for the wrong tone used. It's not the wrong tone used, but I was disappointed because of work ethics. How can the india sales amended the time and use it as prove? This is against audits. I also told my boss I'll not appologize unless they provide the original email, but they couldn't get the orginal email out. He was probably very mad at me but I'm standing firm. I knows he wants to appologize to the sales team or he probably did. He is again, opening his gate to let the sales steps in. Am really tired with this kind of leadership. He keeps thinking he's really good at solving escalation. I just want to say "puikkkkkkkk" Wake up LS!

Beach... doggy party...

I was supposed to attend another doggy party by the beach yesterday. I was there at the beach but didn't attend the party because i saw so many people there. I actually let mika to choose the directions either to turn right or left(doggy party). She chosed to turn right and be in the attention among tourists. Daddy and wayne went fishing and obviously they caught nothing. I was busy shooting mika and jess and also some sunset photo. Have posted them here. I didn't know if pck was there at first. I was looking out for his car but no where to be found. Also when i saw the big group over there, I daren't go over. Didn't know all the shutterbug was there. Kinda regret didn't join them and get closer to them as pck was there. Looking forward to another outing. Hopefully i'm able to get one gear soon... can't wait. makes me really wondering if he was there because he knows i'm bringing mika? mixed feelings ne...
Please check out my album in facebook for more pictures. Comments are welcome :p

Another Hope... GONE~! :(

This second interview in less than 3 months from the first is really pouring cold water to me towards my current company. This interview was very smooth, as I thought. The following day the interviewer called and asked my boss on my availability to join and comment about me. As skeptical it can be, I thought my boss wouldn't write good comment about me but I was all wrong. Both party claims that he wrote good comments and they are really happy he's so supportive. Just a few hours after the phone call, i had a follow up with the interviewer and there she told me she had just take in a perm instead of me. Reason being, it would be faster for the perm to join the team instead of me. Initially I doesn't want to blog bout this but after struggling over a week I decided to do so. Not because of letting go of my anger but is to highlight to those hiring people know this is really not right to do.
What i was upset about was the interviewer approach my boss before deciding to get me in. This has really put me in a very bad situation to break the bad news to my boss and telling him i have to stay because I didn't get the offer. He was also very surprised and the first thing that came out from his mouth was "What happened?? I wrote very good comment about you." Dear boss, I know you did but timing wasn't right. To make myself feel better, I kept telling myself that this is not what God has planned for you. So I have to wait as good things will go to those who can wait.

Drey, if you are reading this, please don't feel bad. It wasn't you that put me in such situation. In fact I should thank you for giving me another hope though it didn't turn out to be something we're looking forward. Drey has been feeling bad and I too feel bad for making her feel that way. Deep inside me, I haven't blame her at all.. I just want to say, I still love you... & Billie too ;-)

Another hope?? Will this one come true??

Today I had a phone call in the office and was quite surprise as that call was to ask me for an interview later that day itself. I asked if we can change the interview to tomorrow but was rejected as they need people real fast and would like to finalize everything hopefully by 29 july 2008. I have told Audrey to roughly guide me through their team's process but didn't manage to do that and I was already asked for interview. I wasn't fully prepare and I also doesn't want history to repeat itself, the previous 2nd round of interview for the PMO team - I didn't prepare myself, in the end... got shoot-ed..

So I was kinda scare today while waiting for death toll, hehee... not really death toll but I really hope not to be rejected and can actually stop going for interview for some time. Prior to the interview, I was having butterfly in my stomach the whole afternoon after lunch. I'm really getting sick and phobia about interviews, where i have to say the same thing again and again. Another reason is, I can't take rejections anymore... So painful le...
The whole thing seems postive but I'll only be inform tomorrow if I'm successful. geezzz... Oyi praying hard again.. Hoping for miracle to happen...

Apart from that, Oyi's been busy with renovation for the new house. Been looking around for quotations from different contractors and finally made up our mind on the contractor that includes/provide everything. Finally done on getting the flooring, plaster ceiling and electric wiring contractors. Only this has burnt a big hole in our pocket. With the fuel price increasing, it's really taking a toll in our budget. Initally we plan to have a L-shape counter for the kitchen, but we have to give up on that as we couldn't find a place to put the washing machine. So have to stick with the tradition table top.. haizzz... But of coz that doesn't dampen our spirits..I just can't wait to shop around for furnitures to decorate the whole house.. hehehe... *can't wait oh~!*
Oh yeah 31 July 2008, the big day... renovation will start and we need to go through some ritual before renovation starts.. Will post the pictures then... Today Onu told me about PCK. About this gf and the house they bought. Was kinda sad to hear about that but if it's not destiny to be yours, then don't force... Coz there won't be happiness.. I trully believes in god's arrangement. Although some times, I choose not to believe, but god's will is something you can't afford to ignore... lppl... hahaha... oyi's just crapping at this time of the day~! :p

Confused... & Disappointed

I was very unhappy yesterday. I have an escalation from India, from the noisiest, most troublesome ISDM. I have provided wrong costing and and they have made a big fuss over it. The whole thing can be solve if she would only listen to me. But she choose to bring the whole issue to my boss. Obviously my boss will be on her side whenever she screams and yell. Yea, he's not the type where he can protect his own people. Instead he'll actually help the sales by lecturing us in the email right in front of the sales folks. Saying very hurtful word as if you are a worthless slaves, yes slaves not soldiers. He has been creating space for Sales to actually step on top of him. That is why the escalation keeps flowing to his mailbox. I believe he thinks people actually trust him? I don't think so. It's because you're on the top that's why they come looking for you because you have already make them feel so comfortable by looking for you. Coming back to yesterday's escalation, he didn't help me out instead blame me and doesn't even bother to go through what I want to do to solve this. I waited for my senior to come back, and told him the whole story. He not only helped me out but also reply to that biatch. She stood firm and insist that we should do according to what we have committed. That's not a big problem, as we can solve it by our end by getting approval. But before we do that, my seniors shoot them some questions that need Sales to answer in order for a smooth approval process.
1) Why the first few same requests has been done but no download. - why are they keep requesting things that they know their customer will not buy? - is this how they manage their customers and work? - come on... sales.. kononNya!
2)What is the quantity and the probability of getting the order in.

A day has passed, this has been at least 6 business hours. Urgent?? Do you need to take that long to reply? I did admit that this is my mistake. I shouldn't have trust them and be on their side them by trying to expedite the whole process. I should have followed the procedures and let them wait. After the whole thing, Boss came to question and lecture again. Saying "Don't open your doors for them to shoot you". You are not better off than me either. Have you also not open your gate for them to step into your teritory and head? He said he wants to escalate extended teams, but he goes there with 2 combs of banana. Other teams can use data to escalate us back. 2 teams have already treated us this way. Other's manager can protect their own staff as he knows his staff's capabilities and how tie-d up they are. What can my boss do for our team? Lecture, lecture and lecture that you are not able to manage your work, you are not efficient enough, you are only doing operator work. Just for your info, he reffered me as an operator before. This is how he appreciates his subordinate.

The india sales folds has always been like this, whenever they make mistake, they don't CC your boss and you HAVE TO help them to clear the problem. They can tell you this when the actually need your help to cover their mistake:

Need your urgent support. The ITC skus below, we want to revise the same and turn it on in smarts for 5 months. The pricing remaining the same. Sorry for all the trouble as this was my mistake and requesting for 3 months, as last time for the same price we had supported for 5 months. Hey, this is very critical and appreciate if you can support on the same, as I am expecting the p.o. today second half. Thanks.

Please show respect for others, if you want others to do the same unto you. Sometimes, I just don't understand them. They can scold and give you turnado when they are very mad and when they need you to do them a favour they can just rip off their face and beg you to help them. Or some, can also be very rude and force you to do things for them ASAP. Oh yeah, they also like to send email using capital letters, bolded and in red colour. They are not treating others like human, why should we treat them like one too?
I'm sorry if you feel i'm rude sometimes, but if it's wasn't you that teach me, I won't treat you like this as well.

But god has been good to me. I had a very nice dream last night following the bad day at work. I'm just hoping that the dream will come true.... **finger cross**

Lost again

Ever since came back from hong kong, my workload has not been reduced. Everyday, when i'm about to leave the office, I still see at least 10 new requests lying in my mailbox. Just don't understand how come each and every request can be urgent, urgent and urgent. Not that they don't know it's my after working hours already. But they still will try everyway to get you to action on their request. Why, why why ne? We're all working nia mar.. Have to be so "pia" meh?? Takkan already married to the company day and night also have to work? Yesterday was a replacement holidays but the request flow in like it's nobody business. I have a dinner appointment with Billie, Audrey and Er at summer garden. The atmosphere is cozy, nice and romantic, but the food really no go. :p Anyway have tried so no going back.

R.E.J.E.C.T.E.D!!!

The worst that I fear has already happened. I was rejected. The hope for 1 and 1/2 months has disappear into thin air. Disaster day - 9th July 2008. Following the interview, I appologized for the bad performance the day before. I was questioned back for what happened. Do I have any issue? Or I just can't focus? Seriously, I don't know how to answer him. All I can murmured was "No issue, but nervous". I daren't tell him what happened, but I wasn't feeling comfortable with the whole interview with the other lady boss. Every of her questions shoot right into my heart. The arrows so blunt that I can feel it passing slowly through causing painful feeling. So painful, that makes him think I can't focus. He mentioned, "i can't get you in now". That's it, the end of the highest hope I have for myself in 2008. They can just so easily tell you this after making me wait for 1 and 1/2 months.
I truly believe that the second interview should have come earlier. The second interview should be conducted even before telling me i'm successful. I really feel what ""walk the walk" has advice is true. Probably this second interview was just a "show" to tell me.. "I'm sorry, you have fail the test". If this was ever true, I would appreciate they just tell me I wasn't successful rather than asking me to join the interview got hurt answering numerous question and hurt me again with the word - "you are not successful". Some may regard this as company polictics, something that I know I'm not qualified to play around. Even before and after the interview, alot has advice, so sorry you have been very unlucky to face this person*. I'll leave it for you to guess.

Anyway everything has passed, no point sulking over this. Get up and move on... I'll take your (walk the walk) advice and find people who knows how to appreciate my values.
Thanks for standing by me all these times. I guess the best thing that happens to me is the support from my family and my beloved friends - the five musketeers... I love you guys!!

Second chance...???

I went through the second round of interview today. It was very fast, less than 1/2 an hour. But it wasn't that smooth as I thought. I was being question and pushed until it make feel like a dwarf. The whole process took 1 and half months, and up till now I don't where I stand. They give me hope, but at the same time the rejected me. I was rejected for at least thrice on the spot. Then after a few days, they gave me hope again. After about a week or two, told me i was rejected. Out of the sudden, ask me to go for second round interview. I doesn't know what they want but they are making me losing my interest and confidence. One of my best friend told me they are not sincere and might be playing around, but I don't think they have the time to do that with this company. When I told the other best friend that the second interview was scheduled, she asked "are you really going to attend??" I replied: Y not?? It's money. People say "Find a job that you like so that you don't have to suffer". How can you justify that you really like the job before you even had your hands tried (on the job)? So what if's related or it's something you are good at?? Will you really like it? This is another question, totally 2 different things. During the interview, I was being asked, so many Qs. So many that I manage to handle except for that one Q related to the job which I can't answer. I can see the interviewer is not happy with my answer, yes it's my fault for not preparing for the interview and I admitted that in the interview. She keep asking and insists a satisying answer. I just keep silence and said sorry. I'm not very positive this round, anyway even the first round I was rejected on the spot. So nothing much to worry, but it's not easy to face rejections. Well at least not for me. *sigh*

It has been so much work after the trip, I aint have time to update. I'll, find one day to blog it with pictures. I promise, with picturessss... :)

Doggy birthday party.... Zai zai Happy Birthday...

Just back from the beach behind crown prince. Took mika to a doggy gathering. It was zai zai's birthday and Eric (owner) is the organizer of the party. This is the first time, Mika join this kind of gathering. My mom won't allow mika to go for such gathering, luckily she wasn't in penang this week, *heheh* I went there and join Susan and some of the shutterbug's team. They were there to help out with photographing the event. Mika was shot by a few of them. I'll wait for them to load the photos and i'll post it here.

Firstly the party started with a photo session. Then follow by food and of course after that the doggy were playing, playing, running about and some went into the water swimming. While the shutterbugs were busy shooting, we took mika to walk about and let her to get use to the area. After that she was busy running about too. While were we loitering around, Mika got chase by another dog and I accidentally let go of her string. She run so fast and far that I can't even catch her. But in the end, she came back to us. Clever girl. She really scare me to death, i'm so scare she'll run into the water. He also came with his friends, but it was abit later. That time I was carrying Mika and he walk from behind. When he reached he starts shooting. He was also there to shoot mika being chase. Just not sure if he manage to capture. Haha.. after that he walk away liao, I also didn't see where he went to. Manage to get to know a few of the shutterbugs, overall happy outing as Mika is so happy playing in the beach. **i think he was there with his gf, coz i saw a girl whispering to him**
I'm going to the airport to fetch Wayne later. Finally back from germany after 3 months of intensive training. That's why I'm going shopping with him tomorrow.

Shopping for HK done...

Finally got our daily use shopping done with Lisa. Bought shampoo, conditioner, body shampoo, maggie mee, biscuits and etc... too many to name here. I wasn't so excited for the past week about the HK trip. Not sure why, maybe I was busy thinking about some other thing that doesn't exist. Happened to stumble over something today and it was actually bothering me. Funny, why do I always get myself into these kind of situations that will bring me down. After all it has nothing to do with me. **sigh** I only hope my sixth sense is not true. If not I'll be upset again. But then again, why is this impacting me so much?? Yes, i dream too much, dreaming about some incidents and hoping it'll come true. But if it's not under the dear Lord's plan for you, it'll not happen to you. hahahha.. Lynda Khoo, don't dream on anymore, reality sux.

Everything is based on timing, yes have just discuss this issue with May over dinner just now. When i got to know that she's leaving for KL, I'm not sad at all. As I know this is what she wants and if anyone ever stop her from going, I dont think they will be successful in doing so. Anyway dinner was a short one, but I trully treasure the moments with her and wish her all the best in her future undertakings. After dinner, Lisa and I headed to Tesco and got the stuff that is needed for the trip. Happy about it as buying all this stuff makes me excited over the trip again.

Oh yeah also met the shutterbug's team in starbucks. Yes, i know they will be there for mastering the masking technique in photoshop, but because I have such tight schedule and my laptop is still in germany, I didn't join them. I did went over to say hi though.. Hopefully I can get my SLR soon. So that I can join them for events. After my HK trip, my next plan is to save for a nikon camera. Yes Nikon supporter I am.. hehehhehe... Also I met Mr Tony antonio in Tesco. We chattered awhile about Wayne's trip and nothing much.. lolxx.. Dunno why, can't really talk to him much compare to Kenny tai lou.

Another thing I would like to blog is that I'm proud to say, I'm no longer scare of contact lenses. I wore them for 17 hours today, with 3 times of dropping the eye rewetting solutions and no more itchy eye.. Yaaaayyy.. all prepared for HK! Next thing is to get a good looking sunglasses... lolxxx... Happy, happy.

Yes me going shopping again this sunday with Wayne. Can't wait law....

Suffocated~!

Leslie is back to work today, but Khee Seong is still working from hospital. Hopefully his daughter is recovering soon. Went to work today seeing my mailbox has up to 70 emails can really make me pengsan. All those from yesterday that I can't finish even working till 11pm. **sigh**. I gave back Leslie her's as I can't manage to cope on my own requests. I feel very bad, but I also can't force myself to take up and can't manage in the end. Up till now I have yet to clear all my requests. Anyway doesn't want to blog so much bout workload. I can feel my boss is treating me better until when he leave for the day he tap on my table kinda let me know i'm going back. Also for india's request, he can come personally to my table and discuss it. Actually a few times, I already understand the message he's trying to convey. But I just acted like a child and listen attentively. Kinda like the fatherly and child scenario. But with his 180 degrees changes, I also feel weird at times but at least I feel very much like I belong to the family now. Maybe it takes time to adapt. Sometimes you might think that you have to adapt to the environment easily and that would make you feel better but on another hand, it also depends on the other person if they are willing to adapt to the environment that you are in. Too deep, I also feel that too. Overall, it takes 2 hands to produce sound. 1 hand will never make any sound. Even if you try very hard to enjoy the accompaniment of the other person but if they are not willing to enjoy your accompaniment, it's total waste of time. Only time will prove everything. I guess i manage to prove it this time with my own ability. I'm very happy that he can see my ability to handle things and manage my work. Though it's not easy to go through this, but I can feel a very big achievement as from being transparent to now, he can discuss and accept my input. I'll try my best to strike for the best! Yes, I would say that 9mths in SDC is a very painful journey, but I'll continue to drive till success.

Apart from work, today I came across an event this saturday, it's a doggy party by the beach. Actually the email was intended to look for photgrapher but end up the event attracts me more. I think some of the shutterbugs will be at the event. My gear is with my dad in KL, i'm only left with the old olympus. I guess that's what I'm bringing. Will shoot potraits with the old olympus. oh yeah I'll be bringing Mika there too... That's the whole point of the event... heheh.. so excited~!~! Can't wait ohh... **will he be there this saturday? I really hope to see him there... heheheh**

oh yeah decided to change the fonts, as I feel the old one is harder to read... :p

Long & Tired Day

It's 10 something pm now and I'm still in the office. Actually I went back at 6pm sharp to run an errand for my dad. After that, went back bath and had dinner then rush back to office to finish up the ANZ request and also to clear some of my requests. Leslie, my colleague was on leave today and my senior's daughter was admitted to the hospital for HFM illness. So both of the 2 strongest pillar wasn't in the office today, leaving poor me to support the mailbox. Yes me alone. My boss came in early in the morning asking me to fully concentrate on the mailbox alone. Funny thing is, I'm fully working on the mailbox since day 1. So it feels really weird to hear him say, "I want you to fully concentrate on the mailbox today!". Does he means I have to pay full attention to the mailbox and not do other things like sufing, looking at the photography websites and also blogging? As if I have the luxury to do that everyday. Anyway, it's has been a long, long day. I'm almost at the end of the day but my request is still standing tall like penang hill. I don't know how I'm ever going to clear that. Frankly speaking, I have been very bias in terms of working out the request. Due to ANZ is time zone is early by 2 hours, I have to put more attention to it compare to other regions and this is not fair. A lot of the ISR has actually complain bout this to me, but what I can do? The ANZ folks are really very hard to please and they are the escalation king and queen. Once you don't live up to their expectations they'll scream, yell and shoot the email to the top. So the other region will have to bear the consequences and got delay. I'm so so sorry guys. I really hope that I would have enough hands to finish all, but too bad I only have 1 pair. And i trully believe is more than enough =)

Even lunch was quite a quick one today. Surprisingly, the rest of them was even faster than me.. scary.. how can they go out and come back in such a short time? Probably this is because they eat real fast... oh no.. that's not good. In the 9 hours you are in the office, you only have 1 hour to really rest your mind before you start to fight again. How can you shorten your lunch to give way for more working hours? Ridiculous... At times, even if my lunch was a quick one, I would never start work immediately.. I'll would rather get some power nap to increase productivity. Salute to the rest of the team for such good job done! :p
I met him again during lunch time... So so happy...

Tired eyes...

I have been wearing lenses to work for the past 2 days as my spectacle is not of good use now. I'm not so used to wearing lenses for long hours, even 4 hours would make me feel uncomfortable. All my good friends around me knows that i can't stand long hours with lenses and that's the reason why i don't wear them while I'm at work. Anyway the past 2 days was very uncomfortable and my eyes was very red as if i'm a devil in disguise. Today was even worst as it was so dried that I feel like ripping my eye out. Darn... I really hope to get my spekky ready soon.... Too bad I think I still have to put up with lenses for another few days.
Yesterday we met at the pantry, none of us actually have any reaction when we sees each other. He wasn't wearing spec also. So I doubt if he can see. Silly me, he sure can see. If not he won't be able to walk so far to the pantry from his place. The atmosphere wasn't nice at all. Not that I'm hoping for something, but it just doesn't feel great to be there. **I miss him**

Fate... what is fate?... Also got a bad news today

I wanted to update this yesterday but after came back from Father's day dinner was way too tired to switch on the computer. Reason being, I was spending the whole of friday night working on some photographs in photoshop till saturday morning about 3 something am. I promise my mom to go to the temple on saturday morning for prayers. She told me she has made appointment with the "Sifu" at 8am. Obviously i didn't have enough sleeps and have to force myself up the next morning blur and headache at the same time. I got myself cleaned, put on a clean shirt and start the journey. When i reached the temple, the sifu was there, all prepared. The ceremony was very short but I was feeling very much better with high spirits. Anyway didn't spend much time in the temple. Next we went to Chowrasta market to get some oilments for my cousin sister as my mom is going to visit them this week. We had our breakfast there and proceed to the money changer as my dad is also leaving for KL and only be back 1 day before i depart. Can't wait for him to come back and change HKD for me --- yes i depend too much on him. lolxxx...

On our way back from the money changer, I saw him shooting Shih Chung's old school. Yes, I can recognize him with his new look. I wanted to confirm, so I drove back to check but then he wasn't there anymore. I believe he followed the shutterbug's team to clan jetty that morning. I wanted to follow as well but I haven't got myself a SLR. So feel very "chi pei". Was very happy even though I got scolding from daddy for turning back to see him and re-confirm. But deep inside, I know it's him. I shall wait for him to upload the old shool's picture.

Today I went to the optical shop, intended to do lenses for my HK trip. I got my usual lens at the same price.. Happy coz the fuel increment didn't affect the price yet. I doesn't know if it's related, but hell ya transportation is needed to distribute the lens to the optical shop. Anyway i just had my spectacle done last year, so I thought my power should more or less be the same but no harm to get it checked again. I got a shock when my optician told me that my power increases alot and that's not normal for the power to increase in 1 year... :s
She asked me if i was on ""steroid".. of course not.. then the next question was "not enough sleep"? This is quite true, but I didn't know it'll impact so much.. My right eye increases 75 and left eye 50 in just 1 year. This is scary and I'm kinda worried. But right now, I'll have to take care of my dear eye. :x
If we are counting the months, it's less than 1 yr. I remembered I got my new spectacle after I join SDC and I'm only 9 months there... :(

Major turn off

This week has been a hectic week for me and my mates. Too many request flooding in due to ramming of business. That's a good sign, but it's way too taxing on our health as insufficient sleeps and making us look like a walking zoombie. Hopefully everything will pass away smoothly and we can rest our mind, although we haven't see any sign of that yet. Anyway, apart from busy working hours, I still have to forge out some time to meet up with Lisa and Rachel for our HK trip's plan. Yes we are going on a F&E 6D/5N trip to hong kong --- Disneyland here I come... **evil smile

We had been meeting up this week and yesterday's was the second time this week. We had KFC for dinner and proceed to Coffee Bean to utilize their wifi plus a cup of coffee to release stress from work. It was really a major turnoff for us and I swear, that's going to be the last time i'm ever going to step into coffee bean in queensbay mall. The service there was really bad and to add in, the drinks there sux. what actually happened was, we were setting up our notebook to the nearby power supply on the pillar. Even before our notebook starts up, a waiter walked by and ask us. Below is the conversation:

CB waiter: Have you guys order drinks?
Us: No we have not. :)
CB Waiter: Are you going to do that in a short while? **in a not pleasant manner**
Us: Yes -- with the WTF look.

He' s not friendly at all and is this how they treat their customers? It's not like we were there for hours but still haven't order anything. Less than half hour there and we were treated like this? I really wants to just close the notebook and walk off, if it's not for my friend refuse to change venue. That's not all, when we were in there ordering our drinks, the waiter (a different person) is not that friendly like starbuck's either. Worst thing is that about 11 something that night, they just switch off the power supply, inclusive of lighting and fan just like that. We are using the notebook fully on power supply without the battery intact. Guess what, it went blank and leaving us looking at each other puzzled. Then only we realized that the fans and lights are turn off as well. There was no sign that they are closing and it's not yet 12 am. the waiter should at least inform us that they are having a last call and if there's anything that we like to add or else they will call off for the day. Nothing was communicated and they just shut off everything. We were really pissed with their customer service.

Yes, I'm blogging in the office. Just need to take my mind off work.. =)

Welcome~

Finally made my way to blogspot, not sure if this is a good thing. As mentioned in my previous blog, i haven't been very discipline and consistent in updating. Well i guess i have to learn and keep up to what I have to do. Basically, i'm a simple girl living in a simple town. Apart from working, this girl doesn't have much to do over the weekends except for catching up with friends, going to the cinema, k-session, fishing and also shooting --- photography. Not an avid blogger, doing it just for the sake that it's something everyone is doing =)

As the eldest among my siblings, I hold very huge responsibility to take care of my younger siblings. Have a 8-8 job in a "very" good company which treats their employee like an operator. Well maybe that's the culture, lolxx. I'm not a very friendly person towards new friends because i'm scare of rejection. Always known for being snobbish around new friends. If only you would give me more time to get myself use to you, i can be a monster. A dreamer, as mentioned by my good friend. I seriously believe, you need to dream in order to be successful in life.
